A Step-by-Step Guide

Activate the sensor patch using the provided Activation Swabs. Hold the swab upright with the coloured line at the top, then snap to let the liquid flow into the cotton tip below. Tap if necessary to help the liquid move down. Sensor life is 7-days after removing from the vacuum packaging and upon activation. Sensors are single use i.e., one sensor per user only. Readers are paired with one sensor worn by a user at a time. Follow the instructions on the Sensor label when applying for on-body wear. Store Sensor Patch between 4C (39F) to 21C (70F) for best results. Sensor Patch in vacuum packaging lasts up to 12 months from date of manufacturing as shown on the sensor label.

The Reader will stop recording on the 7th day after the Sensor was added. You can also see the # of days of Sensor used on the SWEAT AWARE companion app.

Don't worry - Our device tracks biomarker expressions from passive, micro-beads of sweat (a few microliters). The human body is approximately 60% water by weight, and you are always passively sweating. There is no physical effort required on your part for our device to get the job done. We also have a perspiration sensor on the device monitoring your sweating rate during wear and use.

Our products are dust proof and water resistant tested up to IP65 (https://www.iec.ch/ip-ratings). Additional testing and optimization is underway. An IP65 rating means a device is fully dust-tight (protected against dust ingress) and resistant to low-pressure water jets, such as from a nozzle or hose, from any angle, making it water-resistant to splashes and sprays like rain or a gentle hose. It's not fully waterproof and should not be submerged in water or high pressure jets or prolonged exposure to water. • What it protects against: It can handle direct streams of low-pressure water, so it's suitable for uses like light rain, sweat, or washing the device under a tap. • What it doesn't protect against: It is not rated for high-pressure jets or submersion, so it's not safe for activities like swimming or a strong power wash. REMEMBER TO COVER THE USB SOCKET WITH THE SILICONE PLUG PROVIDED WITH THE STRAP DURING SHOWERING OR EXPOSURE TO WATER. Brief exposure to water is acceptable; however, DO NOT wear the device while swimming, bathing, or during prolonged water exposure as this may damage the device. Our sensors are single-use only i.e., one sensor per user only. They cannot be reused once applied on a user.

You can sync the Reader with the App as often as needed. Our devices are configured to measure every 5 minutes and will store the measured data on the Reader memory until Sensor is removed. To see a trend on the SWEAT AWARE® Dashboard of your measurements allow at least an hour of data collection between syncs. The Readers have a 21-day battery life on a full charge. Readers are rechargeable and can be reused. Use the provided charging cable to charge the Readers. A green light stays ON while the Reader is being charged and shuts OFF when fully charged. Remember to ensure > 60% charge on the Reader before attaching the Sensor for on-body wear. Keep the Reader in a clean and dry place when not in use. Reader should not be disposed of with household waste. When you decide to dispose of the Reader, do it in accordance with local environmental laws and guidelines.

Your reader comes with a USB-C to USB-A charging cable. Use only a UL certified or equivalent CE marked DC 5V/1A USB-A power adapter with the charging cable to charge the reader. 1. Connect your certified DC 5V/1A USB-A power adapter to a wall outlet. 2. Connect the USB-A end of the charging cable to the power adapter. 3. Connect the USB-C end of the charging cable to your reader. The reader should now be charging. ⚠️ Caution/Warning: Never charge the reader while wearing the device on your body. Clean the Reader and the Silicone strap by wiping the surfaces with a slightly damp paper towel or a wet wipe that is used for cleaning grease of human skin and letting it dry for 2-5 minutes. This helps remove dirt, grease, and other residues from the sweat/skin surface that may have built up over time on to the device.

1. Blue light 1. Blinks once when your Reader connects to the Companion App indicating successful pairing 2. Flashing indicates connection is unstable 2. Red light 1. Blinks once when sensor added/removed and then blinks every 5 minutes when sensor data is recorded. 3. Green Light 1. Stays ON when charging 2. Turns OFF when not charging or if fully charged and connected to a charger

⚠️ STOP using the device and consult your doctor if you feel skin irritation or discomfort is observed. The adhesive we use on our sensor patch are sourced from Solventum (previosly 3M). While these reports confirm no adverse reactions on the skin from the adhesive, each wearer's skin may have different sensitivities to the interaction with the adhesive on their skin. Hence we recommend our users to use caution if encountering any skin irritation or redness in the areas where the sensor patch is in contact with the skin. The device can be worn anywhere on the arm region (bicep/tricep/forearm/wrist). Use the arm region that is most comfortable for you. Also, OK to wear on the outer side rather than the inner side, in the event the flexing of the arm causes to apply pressure on the device and pushing it onto the skin leading to discomfort or redness on the skin. As the adhesive holds the sensor in place, it is not required for the strap to be pulled very tight. Ensure that the strap is not loose to avoid causing the Reader to separate from the Sensor Patch.

The status shown next to a Sensor ID on the SWEAT AWARE Dashboard,(https://www.sweataware.com/) Device Info page are: ● Removed – The sensor was removed using the Companion App. ● In Use – The sensor has synced data within the last 48 hours. ● Idle – The sensor is not removed but has not synced in the last 48 hours.
